Internet of Things (IoT) startup company Particle has managed to secure $10.4 M in its latest funding round. Particle is a company that aims to aid developers in building secure IoT software and help organize multiple devices. The latest investments are expected to go towards the development of Particle Cloud, a platform that helps companies produce and ship IoT products extremely rapidly. Particle Cloud is already a big name in the business, as it is currently being used by Fortune 500 companies such as Keurig and Briggs Healthcare.
Particle has an efficient approach to IoT technology- by making the process simpler, cheaper, and more secure, companies can prototype different ideas without risk of a substantial setback, or a massive budget deficit in the case of a product failure. Support for the platform has come from numerous technology companies, and Particle has partnered with multiple data and analytics platforms- including Google, Microsoft, IFTTT, and Raspberry Pi.
